How It Works
One system. Endless configurations.
Moduqa is not a fixed cabinet. It is a modular system built on a grid of 400 / 800 / 1200 mm. Here is exactly how it works.
01 — The vertical profile
Start with the aluminium profile — the backbone of the entire system. Each profile spans floor to ceiling using an adjustable tension foot mechanism. No drilling. No wall anchors. No damage. Choose your height: 2300, 2600, 3000, or 3700 mm. Two profiles create one bay. Every additional profile expands the system sideways.
02 — The bracket
Every module in the Moduqa system connects via one universal bracket. The bracket slides into the slot on the profile and locks in place. The profile slot pitch is 25 mm, so you can position every element at exactly the height you need. No half-measures.
03 — Shelf panels
Shelf panels hook onto the brackets. Available in three widths matching the grid: 400, 800, and 1200 mm. Depth: 300 mm. Load capacity: 25–0 kg on an 800 mm panel, 15 kg on a 400 mm panel. MDF with walnut finish.
04 — Expand with modules
Every module connects to the same bracket. Mix and match freely:
- Drawer Module — concealed storage, soft-close, 400 mm wide
- Hanging Rail Module — wardrobe section, 15 kg load, 400 mm
- Wine Rack Module — 6 bottles, 400 mm wide
- Shoe Rack Module — up to 6 pairs, angled steel rails
- Book Display Module — face-out display, 6–8 books
05 — Six ready configurations
Not sure where to start? Here are six proven configurations from a single-bay starter to a full room-divider wall:
- Starter — 1 bay, open shelves, cabinet base
- Library — 2 bays, full-height shelves, base cabinet
- Wide library — 3 bays, asymmetric shelf placement
- Study wall — 2 bays, desk-height cabinet, upper shelves
- Mixed storage — 2 bays, base cabinets + modules
- Room divider — freestanding, accessible from both sides
The grid
Everything in Moduqa works on a 400 / 800 / 1200 mm grid, deliberately set outside IKEA’s standard dimensions. This makes configurations visually calm and predictable — even when the system is large.
Assembly
One person. No specialist tools. Modules are numbered and colour-coded. The system is designed for repeated assembly and disassembly across multiple homes — without quality loss each time.
